Six pack abs; a never ending post on core

Lets PLANK!… once we get this dog out of the picture =D
Thee importance, (and I stress Thee) to a stable core, is of it’s crucial impact on your life. This is, was, and always will be a “subject”  ”tittle” “chapter” in our lives that will never be eternal; in that our core and six pack abs will forever discover new concepts or training techniques. In a constant ambition determining new techniques and new theories, I have discovered a core exercise to which most people completely ignore. A form of exercise we rarely see, and one that may seem foolish… PLANKS!

Trying new forms of exercise, natural movements

Spent the whole week chopping wood, helping out my mom prepare for the winter, and may I add it is my first time. Chopping wood can be looked at from many perspectives, a workout, art, and even irritating; especially if you miss. However, the most important lesson to learn from chopping wood is to find a connection; a rhythm, a flow from raising your axe, to brining the right amount of momentum at the exact angle. The worst is when you get stuck with a root, but there is always a way around it. You should never try chopping across a root, it will never snap, but if you find it’s centre and go with the grain, you should get lucky.

Explore your body, muscles surround your entire soul.

Often times you come back from work, or spend the whole day in the yard completely drained. Drained to such a degree that the last thing on your mind is your goals. There is nothing wrong with that, I get the feeling all the time. So instead of forcing yourself into the gym with no energy what so ever, why not plan yourself a beauty spa! … and it truly does feel like one.

Stay hungry, stay foolish

My Insight – The world is filled with people who wish to live a dream but settle for what they have. It’s not so simple to understand life. I know what it’s like trying to find success, dreaming of money, fantasizing about cars… but success is not always what it seems to be. Times change and reality hits harder than a brick. Success is just an illusion, created to keep us from seeing what truly lays before us. We get blocked away from living our dreams, to living like slaves. The only meaning of life is to be happy… to love what you do each and everyday… and to wake up every morning hungry for more adventure. This life was made to live once, and it holds no regrets. When you chase after something you love, you begin to grow stronger, fearless, brave. You begin to lose sight of society and begin to create your own. We shouldn’t be afraid to chase after our dreams,

Only ten minutes of stretching each day to success!

Stretching and Flexibility- We want to stretch everyday not only to feel great, but to incorporate flexibility into our lifestyle. In order to grow, expand, succeed, flexibility is key! Now I understand how difficult it is to find spare time to put aside for stretching, but the goal is not to make time for stretching, but for stretching to be in our lifestyle.

Incorporate all forms of cardio to enhance full benefits.

Sunday at It’s best! – Every Sunday I usually keep my intensity levels at a low; some what of a rest day. Yet I usually spend most Sundays for recovery and recuperation, I find it very difficult to sit at home on a lazy Sunday. So this Sunday consisted of low intensity cardio; 60-70% of my HRmax; Heart Rate Max. I always like to switch it up with the machines so my body doesn’t adapt, thus leading to plateau. It would look something like… Twenty minutes on the Recumbent Bike with Twenty minutes on the Stare-master. Or Twenty minutes on the Upright Bike with Twenty minutes on the Elliptical. I get more of a sweat by switching machines and incorporating more movements such as swinging of the arms on the treadmill, minor contraction of the triceps/pectoral’s from the elliptical, and so on. All in all my goal is aiming at burning fat, so a low intensity (60-70% of my HRmax) is how this can be achieved.
